Are they trained and experienced? School safety: Has police checked the nanny or housekeeper? Are there well-trained guards monitoring the front door? Interaction: Understand how teachers and nanny interact with children. See if the kids really like to be there. Teacher-student ratio: the number of children and teachers in a classroom. Preschool hours: Some preschools have morning and noon shifts. If your child gets up late, you may have to choose the noon group for him/her. Regardless of which kindergarten you choose, you must visit the school in person and observe the situation so that you can know that your child will feel comfortable and safe in the school.
